FAQ's

How do I find out my ring size?

The preferable method of finding out your true ring size would be to go into your nearest jewellery store and have them measure it for you. This service (should) be completely free and take you 5 minutes.

At Indigo Finery, I follow the standard UK ring size chart, which uses letters A-Z with half sizes in-between.

Shipping & Delivery

Please note that I cannot ship to P.O boxes.

All pieces are made to order, and because each piece is made by hand, I do try my absolute best to create your piece as fast as possible, while still maintaining a high quality standard.

Please allow for 3-6weeks for manufacturing. You can request to fast track your order at an additional R350 (this will however completely depend on other pieces deadlines and what kind of workload I have at the time)

Manufacturing will only take place once payment has been made and has reflected in my account.

Orders are not processed over weekends or public holidays.

Taking care of your pieces

Jewellery pieces, just like anything in life, do require some maintenance. Please get your pieces checked to make sure that your stones settings are secure. prevention is always better than having to replace a stone because of a brown claw.

Can I collect my order?

I am based within the Helderberg area and can organise a time for you to come and pick up your piece, but this will have to be discussed and arranged before hand. The traveling costs will be up to you.

Can I have an old piece remodelled?

Yes! I truly believe that each persons jewellery tastes differ completely, and something sentimental can be altered to be within your taste, while still keeping the sentimental value at the same time.

Remodeling process:

If you’re looking to have your piece remodelled, please feel free to email me and I will get back to you soonest.

I will require a R500 fee which will be needed to book your consultation appointment.

I will then ask for a video chat/over the phone call to discuss exactly what it is you currently have and how you would like it altered.

I will be asking you to send me pictures of the current piece and also any info pictures you have for your remodelled piece.

We will discuss further and I will send you a rough sketch of the design, to make sure it is indeed what you were imagining.

Once we have gone through this process, I will quote you accordingly and once you’ve accepted the quote, we will discuss the logistics behind getting the piece to Indigo Finery.

All courier costs will be your responsibility.

Returns & Exchanges

While it is super important to me that you absolutely love your piece, because it is made to order, I do not accept any exchanges or refunds.

With that being said, if you are 100% unhappy with your piece, please inform me of this within 3 days of delivery as well as reasoning for your unhappiness - depending on reasoning and timeline, we can discuss a way forward for a possible exchange.

If there is a manufacturing fault with your piece, I will happily speak to you about it and offer you either an exchange for a different piece/store credit.

If I agree to an exchange, all courier costs will be your responsibility and I will need the original piece to be returned unworn, undamaged and in the original packaging.

Damages will be covered up to one month after delivery if there are any issues due to the manufacturing of the piece.

Broken chains will not be exchanged or fixed. Chains are extremely delicate and need to be handled with care when being worn or stored.

Can I have a bespoke designed piece made?

Of course! I make each piece by hand which means as long as I have a design to work with, I can make it for you.

For a bespoke designed piece, the process would be as below:

I will require a R500 fee which will be needed to book your consultation appointment. (Think of this more as a designing fee).

I will then ask for a video chat/over the phone call to discuss exactly what you’re wanting. We will discuss the size, metal needed, stones required as well as the design.

I will be asking you to send me pictures of any info pictures you have.

We will discuss further and I will send you a rough sketch of the design, to make sure it is indeed what you were imagining.

Once we have gone through this process, I will quote you accordingly and once you’ve accepted the quote, I will be asking for payment. 50% deposit will be required before starting manufacturing. Once your design has been agreed on and the 50% deposit has been made and reflected in my account, I will start the manufacturing of your piece.

Once the piece has been made, I will require payment to have been made in full, and the current full amount has been reflected in my account, I will organise a courier to deliver to your supplied address.

All courier costs will be your responsibility.
